Trying to make a game in 48 hours for the Ludum Dare compo #9. I've been saying a lot of "There's no time for ____!", but actually I have it completely playable and have about 9 hours for just polish now. Yay.

Lots done on Dude Collect today
- Lots of iteration on the tutorial
- difficulty now increases
- Preloader added
- Music added
- Implemented changes based on Mark's feedback
- Asked for feedback on TIGS forums, got some very useful responses
Unfotunately, it looks like the only real selling point of the game, the weird control scheme, might not really jive with player expectations. A lot of the suggestions radically alter the way you play the game. I think I need ideas for better shaping player expectations.
- Arm turning red if cursor is out of range?
- the words "out of range" appearing?

Added a tutorial for Dude Collect, but holycrap it's 3am. I will upload tomorrow. (plus it's not yet skippable!)

Continued work on this Dude Collect thing for gamejam.org. Try it here. I think I got the game mechanics all figured out this weekend. Now I need to do a how-to, game over screen, increasing difficulty, and overall polish in however much of the compo is left.

Experimented with a weird climbing mechanic. I'm pretty sure that with enough experimenting and tweaking it could become the basis of a fun game, but with less than a week left now, I'm not sure I have time to both tweak the new mechanic AND build a decent game on top of it.

Working on a Flash game for gamejam.org. I can't believe I spent all night on a sheep sprite.
And I'm probably going to have to redo it anyway so that it better fits the style of the rest of the game.
Dear self: Make the game with boxes before you start putting in graphics. You end up spending all day on it and even then it looks like programmer-art.
